Vision For Christ is the radio voice of Gospel To Africa, via shortwave and Internet radio. Millions of Africans speak English as a primary language; the result of the British empire’s former control of many African countries. Many other nations have populations that speak English as a second language. There is a real lack of true Bible-based, solid evangelism on broadcast & Internet radio across Africa.
Our specially written 15 minute sermons present the authentic Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in simple, basic, non-idiomatic English which deeply resonates in a culturally-sensitive way with spiritually hungry people. Listeners write touching letters to us, telling how they have come to faith in Christ through these radio broadcasts. We offer our audience the Gospel truth in an attractive format.
Unlike U.S. radio, shortwave radio naturally travels thousands of miles around the earth, without the need of satellites, directly to the listener’s radio. While shortwave receivers in the U.S. are owned by a few hobby enthusiasts, almost all radios in Africa have the shortwave bands. Many do not need batteries or electricity.
High-powered transmitters from Okeechobee, Florida beam our broadcast across the Atlantic Ocean into the hearts of eager and open Africans. We cover all of sub-Saharan Africa. Europeans can hear our shortwave broadcasts, too.
In the urban areas of Africa, Internet-enabled cell phones, such as Smartphones, are a rapidly growing communications avenue. Vision For Christ has all our past and current audio programs accessible on our website, to be listened to on-demand, so the average African, or any other English listener worldwide, may listen at their convenience; day or night. Our message is portable, accessible and convenient, meeting the hearts and minds of people right where they are.
Our broadcasts reach across borders that are blocked to human missionaries. Vision For Christ voices require no passports, visas; they never take furloughs and cannot be thwarted by contrary governments. People listen because they want to listen, by the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
